Cookie policy
This website sets no cookies.
That's the core of it. There's no banner to dismiss and no preferences to manage, because nothing on this site needs your consent.
What that means in practice
Nothing is stored on your device when you read this site — no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. Nothing follows you to the next site you visit.
I do count visits, with Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It does not keep your IP address, does not follow you from one day to the next or from site to site, and builds no profile of you. I see totals: which pages are read, and where visitors came from, including from my own ads. The privacy policy says exactly what it receives.
No tracking pixels, so Facebook and LinkedIn don't learn that you were here. No advertising tags, so you won't start seeing bookkeeping ads because you read one article about VAT.
One exception, so you have the full picture
This one is outside the site itself, but you'd reasonably want to know about it.
Booking a call hands you to Microsoft Bookings on a different address (outlook.office.com).
That's Microsoft's page, not mine, and it sets its own cookies under Microsoft's terms. This policy
covers chilladmin.eu; once you're on their booking page, theirs applies.
My client portal (portal.chilladmin.eu), where newsletter subscribers use the calculators, is
also a separate address. When you log in there, WordPress sets the one cookie it needs to keep you
logged in. It is strictly necessary for the login, so it needs no consent, and nothing else is set
there: no tracking, no analytics.
If this changes
If I ever add anything that uses cookies or follows you across sites, such as advertising tags, I'll ask your permission before it runs, not after. Nothing that needs consent will be switched on quietly, and this page will list exactly what it is, what it's for and how long it lasts, before it does.
For what happens to details you type in yourself, see the privacy policy.
